A rubber connector cap should fit the intended housing or retaining surface around a connector while leaving sensitive contact features free from unintended force. The cap's internal depth and contour need to reflect the actual connector, not only the maximum outside dimensions visible at its end.
Check clearance around pins, sockets, latches, and any nearby cable exit as applicable to the chosen connector. The cover should reach its seated position without bottoming against an internal feature. Leave enough accessible grip for removal so that the user does not need to pry against the connector body.
Clear debris from the cap before fitting and inspect its perimeter for incomplete engagement. Dust protection depends on the complete fitted interface, and the cap alone does not establish an enclosure ingress rating. During reuse, check the inside for damage or trapped particles as well as the outside grip area. A cap that has become loose should be corrected before it is relied on to remain attached during handling or storage.
The photographed cap is a structural and material example. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber covers, tailoring the opening, internal depth and retaining contour to your connector and available removal space.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
