A Rubber stepped grommet uses changes in its outer profile to fit a particular opening and cable transition. The stepped shape deserves attention during assembly because reversing a part can leave its larger section on the wrong side of the panel even when the cable still passes through.
This product is made for cushioning cables at metal or wood cutouts. ETOL can change its structure, dimensions, material, hardness and color. Establish which step acts as the mounting feature and which part guides the cable before choosing the insertion direction.
Inspect the retaining section before closing access behind the panel. Contact at the largest shoulder does not prove full engagement.
Once the lead is routed, check the transition between steps for stretching or a concentrated bend. A cable pulling sideways can distort the narrower section while the outer flange still appears secure. Correct the cable support or orientation so the molded profile can rest naturally, with the cutout edge covered throughout its circumference.
