A screw in suction cup combines a rubber contact cup with a threaded attachment arrangement. The screw connection locates the cup on the supported assembly, while the cup face must meet a suitable surface. Custom size and rubber selection allow these two interfaces to be developed around the intended use.
The mounting thread should match the receiving hardware and leave the cup free to sit as designed. A misaligned bracket can hold one side of the lip away from the contact surface, and tightening the attachment should not twist or distort the rubber body. Check the position after securing the hardware rather than judging the cup while it is still loose.
The contact surface and loading direction determine how the assembled cup behaves. Keep the lip and mating surface clean, inspect them for damage, and assess retention under the actual load and duration. If the cup belongs to a vacuum system, include the system connections and operating conditions in that assessment. Do not infer a holding capacity from cup diameter alone. Release the cup in a controlled way instead of pulling the attached hardware until the lip tears free.
