Rubber wire harness grommets provide a shaped passage where a bundle of wires crosses a panel. The molded part can be customized to the harness arrangement and the receiving opening, covering the edge while organizing the transition. This makes the route through the wall a defined part of the harness installation.
A bundle is not always equivalent to one round cable of the same overall size. Individual wires, wrapping, and branch points can change its shape where it passes through the rubber. Position the entry on a suitable section of the harness and allow enough length on both sides for the planned route.
Check the fit with the harness in its final orientation and with nearby supports installed. A branch pulled toward another component can place uneven force on the grommet. The panel seat should remain engaged around its perimeter without trapping a wire beneath the retaining edge. During service, inspect the entry after moving or replacing the harness, and keep the bundle supported so its weight is not carried by the rubber alone.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Position the entry on a suitable section of the harness and allow enough length on both sides for the planned route. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
