3M adhesive rubber pads pair a round rubber contact part with a specified adhesive backing. For a complete purchasing specification, the adhesive brand needs to be accompanied by the exact backing or tape selection agreed for the application. Different products within a brand can serve different substrates and conditions, so the name alone does not identify a suitable bond.
Start with the round pad dimensions and the surface to which it will be applied. Record the substrate material, coating, texture and available flat area. Check whether the pad is loaded mainly in compression or experiences sideways movement at its upper face. Also describe the storage and operating environment, since the backing must suit the attachment conditions as well as the initial assembly process.
ETOL offers custom dimensions, shape, material, color and hardness. Request confirmation of the selected adhesive specification and how it is supplied on the pad. If the production process uses a release liner, consider how the operator will remove it without damaging or contaminating the bond face. Any application pressure, preparation method and time before loading should follow the requirements of the agreed adhesive product.
Place 3M adhesive rubber pads on the prepared surface using the specified alignment reference. Do not assume that immediate tack indicates the final bond condition. During sample evaluation, inspect the edge around the full circle and check for lift after representative loading and environmental exposure. If a pad is removed during rework, establish whether replacement is required instead of pressing the used backing into service again. Keep the backing specification with the approved rubber drawing and inspect incoming material against that reference. This gives repeat orders a defined adhesive construction rather than relying on an unqualified brand description.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
