A self adhesive silicone rubber pad provides a molded contact layer that attaches to a selected mounting surface. For a heat related application, the rubber formulation and adhesive must both suit the actual temperature at the interface. The pad's role within the assembly should be defined before choosing its thickness and outline.
A molded pad can serve as a contact or cushioning component near heated equipment, but its geometry does not establish an electrical heating function. If vibration related contact is intended, assess the rubber with the actual loading, support area, and movement. Heat exposure and mechanical use may affect different sides of the same installed part.
Prepare the mounting surface for the selected adhesive and keep the bonding face clean during placement. The pad should sit within its intended area without an edge hanging over a recess or obstruction. Evaluate the finished assembly under the relevant thermal and operating conditions. If the pad loosens or deforms, inspect both the bond and rubber before replacement, preserving the correct adhesive configuration and working thickness.
