Product Overview

A Rubber Shock Pad adds a compliant contact where parts meet during the intended movement of an assembly. Its position should follow the actual contact path. A pad that sits close to the impact area may remain largely unloaded while a nearby hard edge continues to take the contact.

The structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color can be customized, with adhesive backing selected for the mounting surface. Evaluate the pad's thickness and area together with the available movement. Increasing thickness can change the final closed position or bring another part into contact before the pad behaves as intended.

For an adhesive design, consider the direction in which contact loads the bond. Repeated sideways scraping places different demands on the attachment from direct compression. Prepare the surface and follow the application conditions of the selected adhesive before evaluating the mechanism.

Observe the assembled contact over the required operating sequence. Check for displacement, edge damage or the rubber compressing until surrounding hard surfaces meet. Any reduction in shock depends on the full design and must be evaluated there. Replace a damaged pad after investigating the contact path so the new part is not immediately exposed to the same cutting or peeling action.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. A Rubber Shock Pad adds a compliant contact where parts meet during the intended movement of an assembly.
Custom dimensions
Increasing thickness can change the final closed position or bring another part into contact before the pad behaves as intended.
Fit & assembly
A pad that sits close to the impact area may remain largely unloaded while a nearby hard edge continues to take the contact.
Use & inspection
Replace a damaged pad after investigating the contact path so the new part is not immediately exposed to the same cutting or peeling action.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
