Protective rubber bumper strips with self-adhesive backing can be fitted at furniture contact points to introduce a flexible layer between hard surfaces. Placement matters: the bumper needs to meet the opposing surface squarely, and the furniture must still close or rest in its intended position after the additional thickness is introduced.
Before bonding, identify a sound area of the finish large enough for the adhesive footprint. Dust, polish residue, and a loose coating can interfere with attachment. Check alignment while the backing remains in place, particularly on narrow strips or close to an edge where the pad could be repeatedly caught during use.
Once fitted, examine the contact rather than relying solely on the pad's visible position. If only one corner is compressed, the bumper may be receiving a peeling force at its adhesive edge. Use and cleaning can also introduce contamination beneath a lifting edge. Replace a displaced pad and address the cause of movement; stacking another pad over a loose one makes the contact height and attachment less predictable.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
