A silicone lid cover provides a removable rubber closure over an opening or exposed feature. The compression fit and outer shape can be customized for the mating product, including the dimensions, hardness and color. Its purpose is to place a covering interface across an area that would otherwise remain open to dust during the intended handling or storage routine.
The lid needs room both to seat and to be removed. A recessed opening may leave little clearance around the edge, so the accessible grip area should be considered with neighboring walls and controls. The cover should meet its intended contact surface before its outside edge strikes a separate feature.
Remove loose dust around the opening before lifting the lid, particularly when the protected interior needs to stay clean. Keep the underside clean while the cover is off, then refit it without folding the rim. Select the silicone formulation for the surrounding materials and cleaning agents. Where liquid sealing is also required, assess the complete contact arrangement under that condition rather than relying on the presence of a dust cover.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
