Product Overview

Custom silicone printing keypads combine a molded key surface with visible legends or branding. The printing needs to remain readable in the finished housing, so its location should be considered together with the key outline, bezel openings and the direction from which the user views the control.

ETOL provides custom size, color, hardness and logo options. Begin with the information that each key must communicate. Short, clear legends should fit within the visible area without running into a curved edge or being partly hidden beneath the enclosure. Color choices should provide useful contrast after the keypad is installed.

The mechanical fit deserves a separate check. Each key should move freely through its opening and return without dragging its printed surface against the bezel. A correctly centered legend will not correct a key that is held at an angle by the housing.

Check the layout with the control oriented as it will be used. Legends on adjacent keys should be distinguishable at that viewing angle, and a long label should not be compressed so far that its letters become difficult to read. Where a symbol replaces a word, use it consistently within the same interface. Evaluate those choices on the assembled keypad because shadows from raised edges can affect visibility.

During assembly, handle the surface with clean hands or suitable gloves and keep adhesive residue away from the legends. For care, use a cleaning method compatible with the selected silicone and print system; aggressive rubbing can be unsuitable even when the underlying rubber remains intact. Inspect the completed control for both readability and unobstructed key movement before normal use.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
