Oval flat cable silicone rubber grommets offer an elongated opening that can suit wiring arranged across a wider, flatter section. The rubber lines the panel cutout, separating the cable covering from hard edges. The chosen internal opening must accommodate the cable's real width and thickness without forcing it to fold at the entry.
For flat wiring, the narrow dimension can be just as limiting as the wide dimension. Check any connector, stiffened end or protective wrap that must cross the opening during assembly. A passage that fits the flexible cable length may not fit the termination attached to it.
The listed oval family separates groove size from inside clearance. One 10 by 30 mm groove option has an inside opening of 7 by 27 mm, so the usable width is smaller than the panel cutout. Several groove widths are available to match different wall thicknesses.
Keep the cable's broad face aligned with the long axis where the route permits. Do not use the retaining lip as a guide for a sharp turn immediately behind the panel. After closing the enclosure, check that the cable has not shifted onto an oval end where its edge could be pinched between the rubber and nearby hardware.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. One 10 by 30 mm groove option has an inside opening of 7 by 27 mm, so the usable width is smaller than the panel cutout. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
