Silicone rubber keyboards bring multiple flexible keys into a molded interface for an electronic product. The keyboard needs to work as a coordinated layout: each key should be accessible, aligned with its intended function and able to move without unintentionally affecting its neighbors. Custom designs can suit remote controls, calculators and other electronic devices.
Develop the layout with the enclosure opening and user interaction in mind. Record key spacing, top shape and the height available above and below the front panel. Closely spaced controls should be evaluated with a physical sample, especially where fingers may press near the edge of a key. The flexible material between keys also needs room to move without being trapped by the housing.
ETOL offers custom structure, dimensions, color and hardness, with printing and laser-marking processes available for review. Supply the legend artwork together with the mechanical layout so symbols remain correctly assigned after assembly. Define the desired operating feel, return behavior and the electrical interface beneath the keys. Those requirements should be checked with the intended electronics and enclosure rather than inferred from the appearance of the molded keyboard.
During assembly of silicone rubber keyboards, locate the part using the specified housing features and avoid stretching it to correct a mismatched layout. Secure the enclosure, then test keys at the center and edges of the interface to identify binding or unwanted neighboring action. Keep the underside clean while handling and follow the finished product's servicing instructions for cleaning. Inspect worn or damaged flexible webs when evaluating a returned component. Coordinate the keyboard geometry, enclosure section, circuit contact positions and finished legends so the visible commands match the internal switching layout. Assess the keyboard across the whole control layout so movement of one key does not disturb its neighbors or their supporting webs.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
