Silicone rubber membrane keypad design uses a flexible molded region around the button to accommodate movement during a press. The membrane geometry works with the selected hardness to determine how the key travels and returns. Custom dimensions allow the keypad to suit the surrounding electronic assembly rather than relying on a generic button pitch.
The flexible web needs room to move. Housing edges, ribs, and neighboring components should not rub against it through the operating stroke. A button that feels acceptable before assembly can behave differently once its perimeter is clamped, making assembled evaluation particularly useful.
Choose the button face for the intended interaction, then relate its height and area to the supporting membrane below. Closely spaced keys also need enough separation that a press does not drag the adjacent face. Identification can be incorporated through the available color and molded marking options.
When closing the product housing, keep the keypad registered to its locating features and avoid trapping the flexible sections. Test the keys around the outside of the mat as well as those in the center, since enclosure support can differ across the layout.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
