Product Overview

A single button rubber keypad provides a dedicated pressing surface for a control that does not require a full bank of keys. The silicone component can be customized in size, color, and marking style to suit the enclosure. Printed, recessed, raised, or colorfilled identification can be considered according to the appearance and handling expected at that control.

The important dimensions extend below the visible button. The supporting perimeter, moving section, and underside must work with the switch arrangement beneath them. Excessive enclosure compression can change the feel of the button before it is pressed, while inadequate support can allow the whole component to move instead of directing movement toward the switch. Evaluate the assembled stack with its actual fasteners and housing tolerances.

For an isolated control, the surrounding bezel also affects usability. There should be enough access for the intended finger contact without making the button easy to catch during handling. Press at the center and near the accessible edges during assembly assessment, then confirm that the button returns freely. Cleaning residue around the opening should not be allowed to restrict that movement.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Excessive enclosure compression can change the feel of the button before it is pressed, while inadequate support can allow the whole component to move instead of directing movement toward the switch.
Custom dimensions
The silicone component can be customized in size, color, and marking style to suit the enclosure.
Fit & assembly
Press at the center and near the accessible edges during assembly assessment, then confirm that the button returns freely.
Use & inspection
Cleaning residue around the opening should not be allowed to restrict that movement.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
