Product Overview

A rubber micro ring molded in silicone needs accurate matching to its receiving groove and careful handling during assembly. At a small scale, a particle or nick can occupy a meaningful part of the contact section. The ring's apparent flexibility should not be used to stretch an approximate size into an unsuitable seat.

Define the internal diameter and cross-section around the actual joint. The selected silicone formulation must suit the medium, temperature and required duty, with no pressure capability inferred from the general material name. The surrounding groove should support the intended compression without a sharp edge catching the ring.

Keep the working area clean and inspect that the ring lies untwisted before closure. Evaluate the completed assembly for its intended seal. During dismantling, protect the small section from pointed tools and compare the removed part with its intended new dimensions. Replace damaged rings rather than relying on a close visual match to a used component whose original profile may have changed under compression.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. The ring's apparent flexibility should not be used to stretch an approximate size into an unsuitable seat.
Custom dimensions

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
