A soft silicone o ring can be developed for a joint that requires a compliant ring section, but softness needs to be considered with the groove and clearance around it. The ring must remain located while it makes the contact required by the assembly; choosing a softer material does not automatically improve every seal.
Silicone and FKM are distinct material families. Select the particular formulation for the medium, temperature and cleaning conditions, including the specific requirements of any food-contact application. The chosen compound should then be evaluated at the dimensions and hardness intended for production.
Fit the ring without twisting it or dragging it across a sharp edge. Check the full seating path before installing the opposing component. If the rubber moves into an unintended gap during assembly, inspect the geometry and compression conditions instead of simply reducing hardness again. During replacement, retain the specified material and section size so the new ring behaves within the joint configuration that was evaluated.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
