Custom EPDM rubber seal parts can follow a machine joint with an irregular outline, including changes in width or direction. The gasket geometry should match the actual contact path and the surfaces supporting it. Establish the sealing region separately from any tabs or exterior features used to locate the part during assembly.
Review corners and transitions closely. These areas can become stretched if the gasket is pulled into place from one end, leaving other sections with uneven contact. Position the part naturally within the joint and check that fastening does not displace a narrow region from its seat.
For oil exposure, choose the finished compound for the specific fluid and temperature; an EPDM designation should not be treated as universal oil compatibility. Evaluate the material and joint together under the intended conditions. Before closing the assembly, remove residue from the mating faces and examine the gasket for twists. On reopening, look for a pinched edge or a section that has moved away from the designed contact path.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
