A snap-in rubber grommet with a stepped retaining profile locates in its matching panel opening. Several changes in diameter may be visible, but each step has a different relationship to the panel or cable. Identify the section intended to retain the part before deciding that it has snapped fully into position.
Custom geometry, material, size, hardness and color are available. Match the retaining groove to the finished panel and leave clearance for the larger shoulder on its intended side. A shoulder touching the panel face can conceal a lip that has not passed through correctly.
Work around the perimeter during insertion and inspect the side opposite the applied pressure. The cable should be introduced without dragging the narrow step back through the hole. If the assembly is later opened, check the stepped junctions for cuts or stretching before reuse. Keep sharp tools away from the groove during removal; damage there can weaken retention while leaving the visible face largely unchanged. Refit only when the whole mounting perimeter can engage evenly.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Several changes in diameter may be visible, but each step has a different relationship to the panel or cable. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
