Match the attachment and installation method
A molded rubber bumper should reach its mounting position without damage to the section that carries contact. Custom geometry and material can follow the assembly's requirements, including any tear-related demands. The fitting method and surrounding edges are part of preserving the finished component.
Check the route into the seat for sharp hardware or a narrow opening that catches the rubber. The bumper should fit through its intended assembly sequence rather than be forced across a feature its profile does not accommodate. The working face needs support where the mating component contacts it.
Install using the designed retention arrangement and inspect for cuts or trapped edges before operation. Evaluate the complete mechanism under normal conditions rather than judging performance from the loose bumper alone. During maintenance, check transitions near the attachment as well as the main face. Replace with the required geometry and compound if damage affects the part, preserving the intended contact position instead of modifying another rubber block to fit.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A molded rubber bumper should reach its mounting position without damage to the section that carries contact. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
