A water tight grommet can be customized for a wiring harness crossing a panel. The rubber provides edge cushioning, while any sealing function depends on its fitted contact with the panel and harness. Structure, size, compound, hardness and color are adjustable for the application.
Place the harness branches in their final directions before evaluating the entry. Branches tied down on opposite sides can alter the bundle shape at the panel, creating a different contact from the straight harness used during an initial fit check. Allow the grommet to remain seated without becoming the point that resists the whole harness routing force.
Compare the retaining profile with the finished cutout and sheet thickness. The available product information does not assign an ingress classification, so evaluate water exclusion on the complete installed arrangement. During assembly, keep wrapping ends and loose particles out of the intended contact boundary. Reinspect after connectors and harness clips are secured. If a later wiring change adds or removes conductors, review the passage fit again rather than assuming the original sealing relationship remains unchanged.
