EPDM anti-vibration dampers are custom rubber support components developed for a specified automotive assembly. The body shape, retaining details, and installed height need to follow that location. EPDM identifies the material choice for this version; it does not make the part interchangeable with every similarly shaped automotive mount.
Review the forces acting on the mounted component after its connections are attached. A line or neighboring bracket can pull the assembly away from its natural support position. The damper should not be used to draw misaligned parts together. Its flexible section needs the planned clearance and should remain free from unintended rigid contact.
