Silicone rubber seal hole plugs close an opening using a body and contact profile developed for the receiving component. The edge condition and seating depth influence the fit as much as the nominal hole diameter. A particle trapped at the contact can prevent even engagement despite a correctly sized plug.
Custom structure, dimensions, hardness and color are available. Select the silicone formulation for the actual medium, temperature and duration of use. The exposed part should allow the intended removal method without levering against the sealing surface.
Before fitting, clean the opening and inspect the plug for cuts or embedded debris. Seat it at the developed position rather than pushing farther in simply to obtain a firmer feel. Evaluate any sealing requirement on the complete assembly under its expected conditions. During reuse, look for an uneven contact band or lasting deformation. If damage returns at the same height, examine the receiving edge and stopping position before changing only the plug hardness or increasing its diameter.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
