A rubber washer for sealing must maintain the intended contact between its mating surfaces under the application's operating conditions. Where heat is present, the selected formulation, joint geometry, and compression all matter. A washer that seals in a cool initial assembly still needs assessment at the relevant temperature and after the operating cycle.
Choose the inner opening, outside diameter, and thickness for the actual seating area. The hard components should support the working ring without cutting into it or leaving a large unsupported portion. Tightening needs to create appropriate compression rather than simply squeezing the washer as flat as possible.
Evaluate the completed connection for its specified fluid and thermal exposure. The heat-resistant description does not establish a universal temperature limit or compatibility with all media. On disassembly, inspect the washer's compression pattern and edges for extrusion, cuts, or lasting uneven deformation. Repeated damage at the same location may indicate a problem with the joint face or loading arrangement, which replacing the rubber alone will not resolve.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
