A transparent rubber gasket with a D-shaped feature needs a consistent orientation in its mating seat. The full profile should be defined, including whether the D shape describes the ring outline or a section of the molded geometry. That distinction affects which surfaces locate the gasket and how it is compressed.
Custom dimensions allow the part to follow the actual joint. Check the curved and flatter regions against the seat rather than assuming that a single outside measurement describes the fit. The mating components should close without forcing the gasket to stretch unevenly around its perimeter.
