Match the attachment and installation method
Custom sealing plugs and caps need different fitting references depending on how they close the assembly. A plug enters an opening, while a cap engages over an outside feature. The selected molded structure, material, dimensions, and color should follow the actual interface rather than an approximate overall size.
For an internal closure, define the bore, usable depth, and retaining shape. For an external cover, measure the mating end and its available engagement length. In both arrangements, leave practical access for removal if the position will be opened during maintenance.
Select the rubber formulation for the fluid and temperature conditions. Where water exposure is involved, assess the complete fitted joint under its intended use rather than assuming the flexible component alone establishes protection. Install the closure evenly on a clean surface and check for a folded contact edge. During servicing, inspect the region that remains engaged for cuts or permanent distortion. Use the matching internal or external profile for replacement so that the original seated position is maintained.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. For an internal closure, define the bore, usable depth, and retaining shape. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
