Silicone sealing plugs used at a regularly accessed opening need a handling arrangement that keeps removal force away from the sealing band. The exposed portion should be reachable without gripping a thin contact edge or levering a sharp tool into the rubber. Flexible cap versions similarly need adequate access around their outer wall.
Match the inserting profile or cap interior to the actual mating geometry. Include the available depth and the condition of the opening edge. Choose silicone for the contacting medium, temperature, and cleaning exposure, then assess sealing and retention on the complete closure under the relevant conditions.
Clean the seat before reinsertion so residue is not pressed into the contact path. Fit in line with the opening and verify the intended seating position. After removal, inspect the handling feature as well as the sealing surface for small tears. A plug that has become difficult to remove may indicate changed fit or surface condition; forcing it repeatedly can damage both the closure and the surrounding component.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
