Product Overview

A Waterproof Membrane Keypad brings the button area and its surrounding flexible surface into the same interface design. Custom dimensions, multiple colors and engraved or embossed markings allow the control layout to follow the equipment panel. Material hardness choices from 30 to 90 Shore A provide another variable when developing the feel of the finished controls.

The perimeter deserves as much attention as the visible buttons. Decide how the keypad meets the enclosure, where the housing supports it and how the joint is held together. Fasteners or clips should not create a local fold that interrupts contact around the edge. Check this region after the enclosure has been fully assembled.

Water protection depends on the complete panel arrangement, including adjacent seams and any other openings. Evaluate that assembled arrangement under the intended exposure. Button travel should remain free while the surrounding surface stays correctly located; excessive clamping can pull the pad out of shape or change key response.

Use colors to distinguish control groups without crowding the usable pressing area. During cleaning, avoid prying at the membrane edge or directing liquid into a damaged joint. A lifted corner, cut surface or slow key return calls for inspection before continued operation. Keeping the interface seated properly supports both usable controls and the intended enclosure protection.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Button travel should remain free while the surrounding surface stays correctly located; excessive clamping can pull the pad out of shape or change key response.
Custom dimensions

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
