Product Overview

A rubber seal O-ring uses a section selected for its matching groove and mating surface. A flat washer follows a different joint geometry, even when both components have a circular outline. Identify the actual section needed before choosing a custom silicone configuration or a clear appearance.

Specify the inner dimension, section size and formulation around the intended sealing contact. The material should suit the operating medium and service cycle. A visually close replacement can still change the contact if its section or hardness differs from the evaluated design.

Place the ring evenly and inspect for twisting before installing the mating part. If the joint uses a flat washer configuration, check that the intended face supports it across the sealing area instead. During replacement, keep the profile type identified with the material and size. Avoid choosing a spare only from its outside diameter, and examine the seating surface before assembly so damage beneath the new seal does not remain unaddressed.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Select the clear silicone grade for the actual ring or flat-washer configuration, checking deformation across the face that supports the seal.
Custom dimensions
Specify the inner dimension, section size and formulation around the intended sealing contact.
Fit & assembly
Avoid choosing a spare only from its outside diameter, and examine the seating surface before assembly so damage beneath the new seal does not remain unaddressed.
Use & inspection
A visually close replacement can still change the contact if its section or hardness differs from the evaluated design.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
