A cable pass through grommet creates a protected passage through a matching panel. The route used to install a finished cable can place different demands on the opening from the cable's final resting position. A connector may have shoulders or edges that need more room than the jacket behind it.
Check the largest component that crosses the opening and confirm the intended assembly order. Support the grommet as required so the connector does not pull its retaining section out of place. If there is insufficient clearance, review the profile or sequence rather than forcing the connector against the rubber.
The part can be customized in geometry, material and hardness. Once the lead is routed, inspect the passage for cuts and check that both flanges remain seated. Keep the finished cable supported so later movement does not concentrate force at the entry. During maintenance, repeat the fit check when a connector or protective sleeve changes, even if the replacement cable is described with the same nominal diameter as the original.
