A custom molded small rubber grommet cushions wiring at a compact cutout. The nitrile construction named for this product can be considered alongside custom geometry, hardness and color to suit the entry. Small retaining lips need controlled handling because an installation tool may be large relative to the part. ETOL supplies these small rubber grommets to order around the opening and cable dimensions.
Prepare the hole carefully and keep sharp points away from the rubber. Seat the mounting perimeter before introducing a stiff cable end where the assembly design permits. If the bore is difficult to reach, change the assembly sequence or access rather than prying it open with an unsuitable tool.
Select the cable passage around the completed wire covering and check the panel thickness captured by the groove. After fitting, inspect for a nick or rolled lip that might otherwise be hidden in the small opening. Keep the adjacent wire support from pulling the entry sideways. During replacement, remove the old part completely and clean the seating area so fragments do not remain under the new flange and prevent it from lying evenly against the panel.
A contrasting color can make the perimeter easier to locate in a crowded assembly. Choose it alongside the required material and fit, particularly when the entry will be inspected through a restricted access opening.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Small retaining lips need controlled handling because an installation tool may be large relative to the part. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
