A silicone rubber screw plug should engage the receiving thread and reach its intended sealing position without being forced. The thread form, depth, and exposed handling feature need to suit the complete opening. For a food contact application, the selected formulation and finished plug must be assessed for the actual substance, temperature, and cleaning conditions.
Check where the closure retains and where it creates contact, since the thread itself may not be the only sealing feature. Leave clearance around the head so the plug can be removed without pulling a thin rubber edge sideways. Keep the receiving thread smooth and free of debris.
Start the plug squarely and stop if engagement is uneven. Inspect the contact region after repeated removal for cuts or permanent distortion. Follow the intended equipment fitting and care process, preserving the specified seating position. A different plug with a similar outside diameter should not be substituted without matching its complete thread and sealing geometry to the same opening.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
