A conical rubber stopper enters an opening with its smaller end first, then engages progressively along the taper. For a bottle closure, the useful fit depends on the mouth dimensions and the point at which the stopper reaches the intended seating depth. The custom profile can coordinate the taper, overall length, and exposed gripping portion.
Measure the opening where the stopper will actually contact it. A flared lip or a bore that changes diameter below the mouth may shift the engagement position. The large end must remain accessible for removal rather than disappearing into the neck when pressed into place.
Select the exact material for the contents and cleaning conditions. Silicone and other material options should be evaluated individually for the application. Insert the stopper straight, avoiding sharp tools that could damage its contact surface. A tapered fit should be assessed in the actual bottle, including retention and removal. If repeated use leaves a deep contact mark or the stopper sits noticeably farther into the opening, inspect both the closure and the bottle mouth before reuse.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A flared lip or a bore that changes diameter below the mouth may shift the engagement position. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
