A silicone rubber sealing washer places a flat contact band around an opening in a mating joint. The band needs enough supported width to remain positioned as the faces close, while the central opening stays clear of the intended passage. Choosing the washer by outer diameter alone can overlook both of those requirements.
Check the inner diameter, thickness, and shape of the supporting faces. A recess or shoulder beneath part of the washer can create uneven compression across its width. Select the silicone formulation around the contacting medium, operating temperature, and expected opening cycle.
Center the washer before tightening and keep it from being dragged by rotating hardware. Inspect the exposed edge for spreading outside the intended seat. Where the part performs a sealing duty, evaluate the complete joint under its actual conditions. During service, examine the old contact band for a cut or flattened region that corresponds to the surrounding hardware, and correct that surface condition before fitting a replacement of the intended size.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
