Product Overview

A round rubber thick washer should remain supported across the contact area intended by the assembly. The custom silicone seal geometry needs an inside opening, outside diameter, and thickness that work with the mating parts. More visible rubber does not automatically provide more useful contact.

Check for recesses or steps beneath the washer. Material extending beyond a supporting face can be displaced into a gap as the joint closes. The section height should allow the parts to reach their designed assembled position without preventing fastener engagement.

Choose the compound for the actual temperature and substances. Position the washer flat and verify that its center remains aligned during closure. Follow the specified fastening arrangement rather than tightening until the rubber appears fully flattened. During maintenance, inspect the outside edge and center opening for damage or permanent distortion. Use the required section for replacement, preserving the intended closing geometry instead of adding thickness to conceal defects elsewhere in the joint.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Choose silicone stiffness after fixing bore, outer diameter and thickness; evaluate how that complete annular section compresses between the mating parts.
Custom dimensions
The section height should allow the parts to reach their designed assembled position without preventing fastener engagement.
Fit & assembly
Position the washer flat and verify that its center remains aligned during closure.
Use & inspection
During maintenance, inspect the outside edge and center opening for damage or permanent distortion.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
