Product Overview

A colored rubber thick washer occupies a defined amount of space between mating parts and can also serve a sealing role when the joint is designed for it. Custom dimensions and color options allow the component to follow the assembly and distinguish variants. Thickness should be selected from the available closing space rather than assumed to improve the seal.

Check how far the mating parts must travel to reach their intended position. The washer needs room for controlled deformation while remaining supported at its inner and outer edges. An excessively thick replacement can interfere with fastener engagement or prevent a cover from seating correctly.

Select the compound for the actual contact conditions, including water or other fluids. Fit the washer squarely and check its center opening before closing the joint. Color can help identify the intended version during assembly, but similar colors should not be treated as proof of equivalent dimensions. During servicing, inspect for extrusion, cuts, or permanent loss of shape and replace the part with the specified section.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Thickness should be selected from the available closing space rather than assumed to improve the seal.
Custom dimensions
Color can help identify the intended version during assembly, but similar colors should not be treated as proof of equivalent dimensions.
Fit & assembly
Fit the washer squarely and check its center opening before closing the joint.
Use & inspection
During servicing, inspect for extrusion, cuts, or permanent loss of shape and replace the part with the specified section.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
