Product Overview

Custom silicone rubber cable grommets in a 16 mm size configuration provide a rubber interface at a cable opening. The full profile needs to be matched to the panel and cable, including the receiving groove, outer lips, and center passage. The nominal size should remain linked to the specific dimension used in the design.

The cable exit deserves a check after installation. A tight bend can press the jacket against one side of the bore and lift the opposite retaining area. Position the cable supports so the intended route does not depend on the grommet being stretched sideways. Leave enough access to inspect the flange after neighboring parts are assembled.

Silicone color and hardness can be customized for the equipment layout and fitting conditions. Choose the formulation for the surrounding exposure rather than assuming a single silicone grade suits every location. Remove burrs from the panel and keep dirt out of the bore during threading. Following cable replacement, reassess the passage fit if the new jacket diameter or bundle arrangement differs from the original.
