Product Overview

Soft rubber rings in a silicone configuration can be selected for equipment that experiences heat and cleaning as part of normal use. The important fit is the ring's contact condition after those cycles as well as during initial assembly. The selected compound and finished part should be assessed for the actual food contact conditions where that use is intended.

Match the section and diameter to the retaining groove or mating face. Include the space available as adjoining components heat and cool, and avoid relying on softness to fill an uncontrolled gap. Cleaning substances and the way the ring is removed can affect its condition alongside temperature.

Handle the ring without stretching one small region to lift it from its seat. Inspect its surface and recovered shape before reinstalling on clean faces. A ring that remains distorted or shows a damaged contact edge should be replaced with the specified version. If the same distortion returns, examine the groove, closing condition, and cleaning process together before choosing a different size that may change compression elsewhere.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Include the space available as adjoining components heat and cool, and avoid relying on softness to fill an uncontrolled gap.
Custom dimensions
Match the section and diameter to the retaining groove or mating face.
Fit & assembly
Handle the ring without stretching one small region to lift it from its seat.
Use & inspection
A ring that remains distorted or shows a damaged contact edge should be replaced with the specified version.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
