Product Overview

A multi-entry rubber grommet with four holes brings separate passages into one custom molded component. It can organize multiple cables or similar routed items at a shared panel opening while keeping their positions defined within the rubber. Each bore and the spacing between bores should be developed around the actual items passing through them.

The four passages interact mechanically. Fitting an oversized item into one hole can distort the rubber surrounding a neighboring hole, and pulling several cables in different directions can load the outer seat unevenly. Plan the routing on both sides of the panel before finalizing the hole arrangement. Leave adequate room for connectors or other enlarged ends if those must pass through during assembly; their installation sequence may differ from that of the cable itself.

The outer profile still needs to match the panel cutout and thickness. Seat the grommet fully, then inspect it again after all four passages are occupied and the routes are secured. Any unused passage must be addressed according to the enclosure's requirements rather than overlooked because the outer flange is fitted.

Material, color, and hardness can be customized. Select them alongside the cable jacket contact conditions and surrounding environment. Where the assembly needs a defined seal, evaluate every populated or closed passage and the outer panel interface together, since an acceptable fit at one bore does not establish the behavior of the whole component.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Fitting an oversized item into one hole can distort the rubber surrounding a neighboring hole, and pulling several cables in different directions can load the outer seat unevenly.
Custom profile & fit
The outer profile still needs to match the panel cutout and thickness.
Assembly considerations
Leave adequate room for connectors or other enlarged ends if those must pass through during assembly; their installation sequence may differ from that of the cable itself.
Design check
Seat the grommet fully, then inspect it again after all four passages are occupied and the routes are secured.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
