Product Overview

A round rubber gasket seals a defined circular interface by contacting the mating surfaces around an opening. Its dimensions should follow the actual sealing land, including the inner boundary, outer boundary, and intended thickness. Selecting only by the opening diameter can leave too little supported rubber or allow the gasket to overlap a passage.

Review the joint in its assembled condition. The gasket should remain centered as the mating parts close and receive the compression intended by the design. The seat should support its edges rather than allow the rubber to move into an adjoining gap. The selected compound must suit the medium and local temperature reaching the seal.

Keep the mating faces free of old material and particles before installation. Avoid nicking the inner edge while passing the gasket over a locating feature. During servicing, inspect the contact band on the removed part. Uneven or interrupted marks can help identify alignment or surface issues that should be addressed before fitting a new gasket of the specified profile.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. The gasket should remain centered as the mating parts close and receive the compression intended by the design.
Custom dimensions
Selecting only by the opening diameter can leave too little supported rubber or allow the gasket to overlap a passage.
Fit & assembly
The seat should support its edges rather than allow the rubber to move into an adjoining gap.
Use & inspection
During servicing, inspect the contact band on the removed part.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
