A silicone pipe plug closes a compatible pipe opening using a molded insertion profile. The pipe's internal diameter, wall condition and available depth determine the receiving space. Its outside diameter is not a substitute for measuring the bore that actually contacts the plug.
A soft profile can deform during insertion, but that flexibility should not be used to force a substantially mismatched size into position. The intended fit must also account for any taper, seam or local feature inside the pipe. Select the silicone formulation for the actual exposure and evaluate any sealing duty at the complete joint.
Remove sharp burrs from the opening and keep the plug's contact surface clean before fitting. The part should reach its intended seat without being driven past a usable removal position. Do not infer a pressure capability from insertion resistance alone. During reuse, inspect for cuts or a changed shape that prevents uniform contact with the bore, especially where a pipe seam may have rubbed the same area repeatedly.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
