A 10×20mm oval grommet gives a small elongated opening a rubber lined edge. The listed part fits a 10 by 20 mm panel hole and has an 8 by 18 mm internal opening. Its outside outline is 14 by 24 mm, providing the flange area that sits against the panel faces.
Small parts can be displaced by forces that seem minor during cable handling. Route the wire without using it to pull the grommet into place, and check that both rounded ends have seated before securing the nearby connection. The cable should enter the center rather than dragging across one corner of the liner.
The range includes versions for walls from 1 to 4 mm thick, including intermediate 1.5 and 2.5 mm sizes. Select the corresponding groove so the part is retained by the panel rather than held in place by cable pressure.
Keep the opening free of paint fragments and cutting debris during assembly. If the wire needs to be withdrawn later, watch the rubber as the terminal approaches it. A caught terminal can turn the small flange inward, leaving a section of hard edge exposed even though the part remains partly installed.
