The 15×30mm oval shaped grommets provide rubber edge protection for a compact panel passage. The listed mounting hole is 15 by 30 mm, but the internal opening is 12 by 27 mm after the grommet is fitted. That reduction should be included when planning to pass a connector through the panel.
A connector that clears the bare metal opening may no longer pass once the rubber is in place. Check its intended insertion orientation against the 12 by 27 mm passage and determine whether the wiring should be threaded before termination. Forcing a finished connector through can cut the inner edge or dislodge the far flange.
The outer profile measures 19 by 34 mm. Panel thickness options include 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 and 4 mm, so the retaining groove must be chosen independently from connector clearance.
During installation, keep the small oval from twisting as its ends are seated. Once the wire has been routed, allow enough nearby length for the connection to be serviced without pulling directly on the rubber. Inspect the inner edge after any later connector removal to catch damage that could expose the panel edge.
