The diameter, height, and engagement details should follow the actual vehicle component rather than a visual comparison with a similar round part.
The approaching surface needs to land within the bumper's usable area throughout the movement expected in service. If the contact shifts toward the edge, a round face may be loaded unevenly. Review the installed position and any surrounding guide or mounting feature that controls that approach. The bumper should not be used to conceal an alignment problem in the adjoining assembly.
