A Cable wire protective sleeve helps prevent the cable jacket from bearing directly against a cutout. Its value begins during assembly, when a lead may be pulled back and forth several times before its final position is set. Supporting the sleeve during that work helps keep its protective surface where it is needed.
ETOL customizes structure, rubber material, dimensions, hardness and color. Size the bore for the finished cable covering and anything that must pass through during assembly.
Do not use a sharp tool inside the sleeve to fish for a cable end. Guide the lead through without scraping the rubber and pause if the sleeve starts to turn inside out. Repeated pulling against a folded lip can damage both the sleeve and the cable covering.
When routing is complete, look into the opening from each accessible side. The cable should remain surrounded by the protective passage, with no exposed edge contacting it. Secure the cable farther along its route before closing the assembly.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cable should remain surrounded by the protective passage, with no exposed edge contacting it. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
