Product Overview

This rubber wiring grommet provides four holes within a circular molded body. Separate passages can organize the assigned leads at one panel entry, but each hole needs to suit the wire that uses it. The outside fit and the individual openings therefore require different measurements.

Map the wires to their intended positions before assembly. Check the diameter and any connector that must pass through each opening. A small lead should not be assigned to a larger hole simply because it is easier to insert, especially if the design relies on defined contact around the jacket.

The outer groove must match the panel cutout and thickness without leaving the body distorted. If a wire pulls strongly to one side, it can affect the material between neighboring holes. Provide a route that lets the leads settle into their assigned passages without crossing tightly against the face.

ETOL can customize hole layout, dimensions, material and hardness. Establish what happens to an unused passage in the intended assembly rather than assuming a four-hole part becomes sealed when fewer wires are fitted. Any environmental or retention requirement needs assessment on the complete configuration.

Seat the circular body fully before finalizing the wiring route. Inspect the material between holes for damage after insertion, and confirm that no cable adjustment has pulled a neighboring passage out of shape. Keep the approved hole assignment with the assembly reference so later servicing preserves the intended arrangement.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: The outer groove must match the panel cutout and thickness without leaving the body distorted.
Custom profile & fit
Check the diameter and any connector that must pass through each opening.
Assembly considerations
Establish what happens to an unused passage in the intended assembly rather than assuming a four-hole part becomes sealed when fewer wires are fitted.
Design check
Inspect the material between holes for damage after insertion, and confirm that no cable adjustment has pulled a neighboring passage out of shape.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
