Product Overview

Molded rubber protective mounts need attachment surfaces that follow the designed load path through the assembly. The rubber profile and any mating hardware should work together without cutting or distorting the retained area as the mount is installed.

Develop the custom shape and material around the actual connection and environment. Check the available space for movement and the clearance to surrounding components. A damper description does not specify a particular dynamic response or capacity without the complete arrangement being evaluated.

Install the mount using the designated fastening method and inspect its alignment before operating the equipment. Look for a rubber section that is twisted or trapped beneath an edge. During maintenance, examine the attachment areas as well as the exposed body, since movement at a connection can affect the mount before a large external split appears. Correct a damaged or misaligned mating part before replacing the rubber so the same attachment condition is not imposed on the next component.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Molded rubber protective mounts need attachment surfaces that follow the designed load path through the assembly.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
