Product Overview

A neoprene rubber O-ring should be selected for its actual groove and service conditions, while a silicone washer uses a different face contact. Keep these formats and compounds separately identified rather than choosing between them by similar outside dimensions. Where food contact is intended, assess the specific formulation and finished component for the actual substance, temperature, and cleaning process.

For the ring, define section size, installed diameter, and support in the direction of pressure. For the washer, check face dimensions and the closing gap. The chosen geometry should remain located without being stretched into an approximate seat.

Install the appropriate part on clean surfaces without twist or folds. During maintenance, inspect damage alongside the mating hardware and fitting route. Correct an uneven face, sharp edge, or unsupported region before replacement rather than treating a material substitution as a remedy for every sealing issue. Preserve the selected specification so the complete joint returns to its intended contact and cleaning conditions.

Material options
Neoprene / Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. For the ring, define section size, installed diameter, and support in the direction of pressure.
Custom dimensions
For the washer, check face dimensions and the closing gap.
Fit & assembly
The chosen geometry should remain located without being stretched into an approximate seat.
Use & inspection
During maintenance, inspect damage alongside the mating hardware and fitting route.

04

Produce & inspect

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements

Review the intended assembly

Working conditions

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.

Material and structure

Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.

Installation

Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
