Match the attachment and installation method
Flexible rubber caps should cover their intended end without interfering with nearby parts. The internal fit retains the cap, while the outside wall and closed end occupy space that may affect assembly clearance. A cap selected only by the diameter it fits over can still collide with a bracket or prevent another component from reaching its normal position.
Check the engagement depth, end shape, and external clearance together. Silicone plug versions use an inserting contact instead and need their own opening dimensions. Select the compound around the actual temperature and substances present at the covered region.
Fit the cap in line with the mating feature and inspect for a rolled wall or an end that has not reached its seat. Move surrounding parts through their intended range before completing assembly. During removal, avoid gripping one thin edge so hard that it tears. Keep replacement caps from being stored under prolonged distortion, and inspect the contact region for cuts before reuse in the same application.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Silicone plug versions use an inserting contact instead and need their own opening dimensions. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
