A round rubber gasket fits a circular joint with a contact section chosen for the mating faces. A conventional O-ring uses a different section and retaining geometry, so the two formats should remain distinct even when both appear as rings. The joint should determine the required profile rather than the nearest available outer diameter.
Define the opening, sealing width, and thickness or section diameter. Check the gap after closure and how the rubber is supported where pressure may act. Select the formulation for the actual medium, temperature, and movement of the connection.
Fit without stretching the part into an unintended seat. A flat gasket should remain flat, while a round section ring should be free of twist. During service, inspect the contact pattern alongside the surrounding hardware before replacing the seal. If the joint repeatedly pinches or extrudes rubber at one point, correct that feature instead of switching between gasket and O-ring formats in an attempt to cover an unresolved geometry problem.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
