Product Overview

Thin flat washer gaskets need to retain their intended shape while being moved into position. Custom size and compound choices allow the ring to fit the mating assembly, but a wrinkle introduced during handling can remain hidden after closure. Keep the component supported and avoid pulling a narrow section unnecessarily.

Identify the required inside opening and thickness before comparing the outside diameter. Similar-looking rings can differ enough in section to change how the joint closes. The washer should occupy the intended supported area without extending into a gap where its edge can be displaced.

Select the material for the contact medium and operating temperature. Position the ring on clean surfaces and inspect the circumference before the mating part covers it. Use the assembly's normal locating and closing method so that the washer is not dragged sideways. During replacement, remove old deposits from the seat and examine the removed part for cuts around the inner edge. Store unused washers flat, separated from fasteners or other objects that could damage the thin section.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
